During initial boot..when your screen is black.and you prob. see numbers being counted for ram..try pressing the "delete" key...the key under the "insert" button...or the F1 key..it all depends on your manufacturer....try that..

IBM PS/2- with reference partition-[Insert] during boot

some Dells- reset button twice ( I suppose this means power reset button)
Misc computers- [Ctrl]+[Alt]
Dell-[Ctrl]+[Alt]+[Enter]
AST Advantage, Award, Tandon- [Ctrl]+[Alt]+[Esc]
Zenith, Phoenix- [Ctrl]+[Alt]+[Ins]

IBM laptops - Press and Hold the F! key then turn on.

Compaq - F10

Abit/FIC/Rioworks - delete key
