As you probably realise, you have to use the exe to create a boot disk (floppy) - not just put the exe itself on a floppy. If you then look at the floppy you have created it should be possible to find the required files.

I realise you have no floppy drive but maybe you can create one on a machine with an A drive, or create a CD instead and look inside that.
There are definitely boot disks available for running from CD's.

Bootdisk.com might have a cd boot image you could download. Or if you just need the files on a bootdisk we could probably email them.

That's great customer service. boot98se.exe is a winimage self extracting executable that doesn't lend itself to separate processes for extraction of it's files. You can't get there from here. So I just did it on my box for you.

It is an exact copy of the 98se bootdisk as created by the Add/Remove Programs|Startup disk tab method made on 7/18/99.

Volume in drive A is BOOT98SE
Volume Serial Number is 18E6-3915
Directory of A:\

get the image file, Windows98_SE.img

http://www.winimage.com/extract.htm
get the extract tool and use it on the above image file to get the actual files. Extract is the short name for this utility, the full name is Extract NT which explains why it don't work on my box but should on yours.

Any joy?
