how do i dissable the onboard video?

i bought a pci video card and got the drivers installed and now i need to dissable the onboard video. How?

You need to know the procedure for your specific motherboard; some use jumpers, some BIOS setting, and some don't need anything except to install the video card. Do you happen to have a manual -- or look on the web site of the manufacturer for their technical support.

The bestwaywould probably be to disable it on your bios. Another thing to try is disable the hardware profile in windows.

I disabled mine under device manager and have no problems.

If all else fails, it is not normally necessary to disable it. You can have more than one graphics adapter installed (dual monitor support). If you want to you can disable it in the device manager like JohnO suggests.
