Brittany,

To delete Bonzi Buddy and all spyware/adware download and run Ad-Aware.

Here is the link.

AD-AWARE

Good Day!

Mesich is correct. Ad-Aware gets rid of all the hard to delete crap that attaches itself to your registry.

Also Brittany, try to get your "caps lock" and "!!!" keys fixed, since they seem to be sticking...

BTW, I think everyone should see all the questions and all the answers, and more questions beget more answers. Or as jimi_1 said, ...asking for a personal E-mail response is ... not conducive to the very spirit of this or any forum...

My feelings exactly, RM. I browse these forums often in an effort to learn things about these computers. I don't believe in taking it to the $hop when I can do it myself.

I think the BB we had here last year had an uninstaller. But a few months later when I felt confident about finding and deleting files I was shocked at all the Bonzi Crap I found left over! Soon after that I put Regclean in that machine which probably took out the rest of the garbage. Regedit's "find" doesn't find any bonzi or buddy in there so I think it's gone now.

Ad-Aware sounds good. I've seen it recommended a lot. I've gotten away from installing every neat sounding program I see but that one sounds worthwhile.

He's not my buddy! LOL

Hi, I work for Bonzi Software customer service. To remove BonziBUDDY just right-click on Bonzi and say goodbye. Then go into Start > Settings > Control Panel > Add/Remove Programs and uninstall BonziBUDDY Web Compass and then uninstall BonziBUDDY after the Web Compass is removed. The link for BonziBUDDY support is http://www.bonzi.com/, just click on the Support link in the lower left corner of the page. Choose the issue you need help with from this page and it will take you to lists of FAQs about the software and will take you to forms you can use to contact customer service. Hope this helps.

How dare anyone setup a system whereby this unrequsted 'Buddy' shows up on anyone's screen - and won't go away. I didn't ask for it....never knew it existed until now. I've not fully installed it - I am upset that this might be necessary to do in order to 'un-install' it. I resent this very mucc, 'cause now I have this in front of me always.
I went onto the 'Buddy' site - but couldn't find a way to connect with a customer service person. I'll try now #8's advice.

What is the purpose of BonziBuddy? My daughter asked if she could download it, having seen it on a friend's PC. She thought it was cute.

Why would you want it?
Why would you not want it?

Thanks.
