everytime i go on this god dam forumn and ask simple questions all i get is wise ass answers im sick of this shit all i get is another question or a wise ass remark OBVIOUSLY ITS NOT MY WORK responsibility i just asked how to get connected if it was i would have called the administrator not go on the TEK forum to recieve an asshole answer this is a help forum not a stupid answer forum goddamm everybody should be here to help each other and not act like a dick

I know you're not wanting smart-ass remarks, but what you are asking might as well be "Will you help me get fired from my job?".
People are a little hesitant to answer those kinds of questions. If you think your company doesn't know everything you use the system for, then you are probably in for a BIG suprise one day.

Dont you just hate those stupid, stuck up, idiotic people on the net?!?!? I mean they dont even leave thier real name!!! anyways, about your problem, i have had a similar problem at home(Proxy Socks 4/5 auth.). But you need to know your proxy server IP adderess. Otherwise, i could'nt help you much. I never heard of a LAN (Local Area Network) server that didnt have Socks capability(but it could be disabled) Most servers do use socks 4 with just a username(eg..nobody) or socks 5(username/password required) , so if you already got you Proxy servers IP, then you could just type it in on napsters properties, settings & use the default socks port 1080, then first try the socks 4. If that doesnt work, then you need to speak with the network administrator & ask him/her about socks 5. Ask him if its even enabled & if so what username & pass you need, also make sure your using the right port & proxy address, the default port is'nt always the same in all proxy servers. Hope this helps. I'll stop by here again in a couple days to see if you understood my instructions & to help you further along :)
