You know Wong, there are other computers out there in the world. If he was trying to hack, I would hope that he at least knows this.

You will need to restart the computer with the power button. When you get to the desktop, immediatly change the screensaver settings by right clicking and choosing properties>screensaver tab.

If you want to get rid of this password for good, do this:
Start>find>files or folders>type: *.pwl and then click find now. This will delete all of your friends Windows passwords including user profiles and passwords that he has saved for secure websites and such.

when the computer boots up, goto display properties and into the screensaver tab. Uncheck the 'password protected' checkbox and hit APPLY.
If you are talking about a screensaver that is running, I don't know of any way around that save powering down the computer. The screensaver password might be the only truly secure password in Win9x, althought who's really spent more than 5 minutes trying to get by it? Well, besides the losers always trying to break the screensaver passwords at Best Buy and Circuit City. Althought if they were really smart, they would disable the power switch so sombody cannot gain access to the system by rebooting the system.

Just for information - if the screen saver is one of the older versions (pre W95), then press ctrl -alt -del and select the screen saver by name and end task. Bingo.

This works only if u r running 16 bit screen savers and not native screen savers that come with Win95.
