when you get an email with a URL address in it, it isn't always in "blue" and can just click on it to go there? you have to hi-light, copy and paste on the address line and then GO? Huh? Why is that? How should you send someone an address on the net?

You and the person sending the link need to have thier mail format in HTML and not texgt. HTH, wcr3d

I sent an email from work to home as plain text and the link is in blue and underlined. The email header reads (Plain Text). I believe (and not sure) it is controlled within IE Tools/Internet Options/Advanced/Browsing Underline Links Always. I could be wrong but there is nothing in my email options (Outlook98) to set that feature.

It depends on the mail client. Some will detect if it is one in a plain text mail, others require the HTML code.

Hi Mikey -- Not sure if this happened to you, but I had a user uninstall Netscape Mail and installed Outlook Express. Once that occurred, their links in Outlook Express did not work because Netscape was uninstalled.
I am unaware of what your exact situation is, but I thought I throw that out there. If this is the case, I can forward you the Microsoft links to fix this issue.
