Yahoo icon and its options automatically load with Internet Explorer 5.5. How can I avoid them loading with IE. Thanks.

i'm assuming you mean yahoo messenger. go to start, run, type in msconfig, click ok. click on startup tab. uncheck any block with yahoo. restart. then click on my computer icon. click control panel, click add-remove programs and remove yahoo from there. click start, find, click files and folders. search for yohoo in the C directory and delete it from there. delete temporary internet files.

Hi Sobia:
Do you mean that when you open IExplorer the yahoo page comes up? If this is what you mean, you can change this by clicking on tools on IE,then choose internet options, then change your home page by typing in the URL for the home page you would like, then click on choose current.
Let us know if this was a help.
trapper.

Thanks for all of you I appreciate your responses. I am able to remove Yahoo Companion by selecting the removing option in the little pencil. I didn't know its name until I deleted it. Yahoo Companion was integrated in IE like its own tool bar. Once again thanks for your help.
