Reply: (edit)You can reinstall windows 98 without losing any programs. Boot with a windows start-up disk (you can make one in the add/delete programs menu in Control Panel) change the c prompt to whatever letter represents your cd-rom, then type setup with your Win98 disk in the cd-rom. Your computer will re-install Win98 without deleting anything.

Reply: (edit)Or restart computer in MS-DOS and type: cd options, enter. cd cabs, enter. setup, enter. you will not lose any programs and you don't need the win98 CD.
