To find files with a .msi extension; Go to Start/Find/Files or folders. Type *.msi in the 'Named' window

I didn't understand your post either. If you are asking how to open MSI files, I don't think you can. Why would you want to?

Rephrase your original post then people may understand what you are trying to achieve Its no good keep replying "You didn't get it" ========================================== As an example when I click on mcu.msi file it opens "Windows Installer" dialog box asking to insert the cd-rom "Mcafee Utilities" or location from where it was installed ie: Path: C:\ D:\ or cd-rom etc.
PS: you must have Windows Installer. INSTALLED on your computer.
If not download it from Microsoft. the file is. InstMsi.exe

You have NOT got Windows Installer INSTALLED on your computer thats why its showing the dialogue box [OPEN WITH].
Download this file, the recent ver of Windows Installer save to desktop Left Click on it to Install to your computer. Then Click on the .msi files again they should now open with [WINDOWS INSTALLER]
