i want to make copy of installed win 98on my
drive to anther HD drive with hall software on it
how can i make that without ghost?

If you need to made a copy, you can do the following steps:
1.- make sure the option "show all files" including hidden and system files is set.
2.-copy all files and folders, except the Windows folder,to your new hard drive.
3.-make a new folder called Windows,in your new hard disk.
4.-copy all files and folders of the Windows folder in your old HDD,into the Windows folder of your new HDD,except a file called "win386.swp" (without quotes).
I recomend doing this in safe mode.
Greetings.and let us know how it goes.

Just use the copy utility provided by the drive manufacturer--either the disk that came with the drive or download from their site. (depending of course on what hall software is)

mmm - perhaps, peut-etre, perdido...
"hall software" = "all software"...
Think of: " meerkat " and " morethan " insurance... (and the little furry munchkins in the UK tv-Ad)?

mmm and I orta have remembered it's actually:
"compare the meerkat" vis-a-vi "compare the market..."? not "morethan" etc. (Michael Winner's show biz break thru...).
Ah well that's used up a few micro seconds of whatever...

Hi Derek:
Yes - it's a gem... Having bin in the broadcast biz for more years than I like to remember... I have to say it's surely one the best ads ever?
And thanks for the actual web-site link; now I can send it chums overseas...
Perhaps now some of the USA pholks here can see/share it too?
Cheers...

OK, I've got to play dumb here, I don't get it. What's a meerkat? Is it a mispelling that has taken on a life of it's own--market, muskrat? Or maybe a person with a particular accent says 'market' and it comes out sounding like 'meerkat'. TELL ME, I MUST KNOW.

A meerkat is a little fury animal (rodent?) that lives in the ground - in burrows etc. Found (usually?) in Africa.
Has a technique of sitting upright on its rear end to watch the world... They are pack creatures; look after each others off-spring to a degree... Tend to mate for life (I think)...
Have been suitably "exposed" on UK tv nature programmes. Watched with very cleverly designed mini robotic cameras too...
There was a famous (in the UK at least) poster of a bunch of them lined up and facing the camera - a still from a tv series - as if posing.. Sold like hot cakes... Do trawl on the www and you'll get loads of info about them...
The meerkat/market play on words is all about the alleged (mis)pronunciation of the two words...; and is a cleverly designed commercial that plays on the effect that an accent might have and possible mis-hearing (and even mis-types?)
There is a UK (car/automobile) insurance comparison site calls itself "compare the market.com" - and there is of course that special site for meerkats - looking for chums - a dating site for meerkats... - that is called "compare the meerkat.com" The latter site is "staffed" by meerkats who have an accent that is (after a fashion) somewhat Viennese or similar?
Now how far do you want to go with this "fantasy"; or is it in truth real??? Are there meekats who run a dating agency; have their own web-site and tv commercials???
If you go to the link (earlier) above and dig around the site you will get to the meerkat videos "they" air for their subscribers... And they promote the various "stars" and their respective videos - and the latest pin up is of course the IT/scientific type...
These are from youtube...

This second one is rather sad...
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6RN3...
and if you trawl for:
meerkat manor
or maybe simply:
meerkat
you'll get a plethora of hits; meerkat manor will bring up most of the video-links from the series various...
Remember the Brits have a passion for furry animals - especially moggies and doggies...; and now meerkats have attracted their attention; although I don't think anyone has one as house-pet - yet... In Canada it's racoons (and maybe in the USA too?) Racoons "can" make nice pets - but once domesticated... they can never be returned to the wild... They (racoons) is also "very " clever, and sometimes can a be real pain in the butt...; as many in N.Am will attest...

Ah, OK I get it now. They must be a lot like prairie dogs. ( I couldn't figure out why they're called 'dogs' until I saw one outside its burrow. They have stubby little tails that they wag just like a dog.)
I tried having a racoon as a pet. I'd gotten hooked on the novel Rascal as a kid and ended up buying one when I lived up in Denver. That didn't work out. It bit and acted like a giant rat, running around the apartment hiding under the furniture.

Hi jeffiner...
As they say - in the UK...
"it 'elps to pass the thyme..." (or should that be - parsley, sage, rosemary, and...?)

Here's one of the market/meerkat ads, which says it all:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=t0AK...I normally hate ads but there's something about this bit of marketing that is rather appealing. After all, for a change, I actually "noticed" it LOL.
some other bloke...

thanks for every one here and about "hall software" it`s all
software , it`s typing mistake.
thank you again.
