A few things that you WOUND'T want to try...
1. Get a win95 floppy set for disks
2. Buy an external CD
3. Hook a serial null-modem-cable to another PC which has a CD then copy the win95 over to HDD and run it from there.

I have an adapter that allows me to remove the HD from the laptop and install the laptop HD as a slave on my other machine and copy the win9X directory to the HD. Re-install in laptop. I see adapters for sale on the auction regularly. Looks like they go for about $6.00. My $0.02. jer...

Thank all your help, I finally get it done.
here I should like to share with others.
1. buy a bi-dirctional parallete cable. (male to male).
2. make a booted win95 disk and copy into your hard drive.
3. copy Dos. 6.2 interlnk.exe in your laptop.
4. copy Dos 6.2 intersvr.exe into destop with CD-ROM.
5. md \win95 or \win98 sub-directory in desktop.
6. copy all \win95 setup files from CD into c:\win95.
7. md \win95 in laptop.
8. using edit.com change config.sys: DEVICE=C:\INTERLNK.EXE DRIVES:5
9. SAVE AND RE-START THE LAPTOP.type interlnk
10 restart desktop, press F8, Go DOS command, type intersrv.
11. desktop c: drive = laptop E: drive.
12. chage to e: in laptop. and type e:\win95\setup.exe
13. it will start setup windows95 or win98.
