Reply: (edit)I am giggling...my husband liked him at first too! I don't remember if his had an 'Uninstall' feature with it. 1) If you don't have an Uninstall feature, first look to see if it is listed in Control Panel, 'Add/Remove Programs'. If not, this is what I do: 2) Go to My Computer, C ( if that is what your Hard Drive is ) and locate the File Folder for Bonzi. It is a good idea to try and take a look at just what filenames are in it, so you familiarize yourself with them ( copying them or writing them down is a good idea ). The reason for this is so that you can locate any Bonzi files which might be in your Registry. 3) Delete the File Folder for Bonzi in My Computer, C. * Note: it is not always necessary to go further than this, but I always check the Registry to be sure. 4) Go to Start/Run and type regedit on the line and enter. This gets you into the Registry. Just look for any Folders for Bonzi and Delete them. 5) Shut down and restart. You should be clear.

Reply: (edit)Go to control panels/uninstall/ select the ape and kill it. If you have deleted some of the 'hairy-armpit' files already, go to the site and reinstall. Reboot and go through a proper uninstall process. If that fails . . . kill youself. ;-)))

Reply: (edit)Try a freeware program from lavasoft, Ad-aware. Read about "scumware" at this site. The download link is at the bottom.

Reply: (edit)Getting Rid Of Bonzi Buddy : 1. Run the uninstall program and when prompted, let the uninstall program remove the shared files. 2. CLOSE the little dollar sign icon on the system tray. (This is MOST IMPORTANT ! ) 3. Open the Bonzi Buddy folder in C:\Program Files .Delete this folder. 4. Do a file search, and type bonzi. Delete all files that show up. 5. Run a registry cleaner and remove all references to Bonzi Buddy. 6.Then run ad-aware to complete the clean-up. Download from http://www.lavasoft.de/aaw/index.html The most important line is about the tray icon : This is where most people probably get hung up. You must close the little annoying dollar sign icon on the tray before deleting this folder. If the dollar sign icon is still open when you try to delete these files, you will not be able to delete them. This is one of their tricks to keep the ads going.
