pls help me to connect my fax to my office phone line. i have been doing this for hours now..

Is this a stand alone fax machine, or a fax card in the computer? And if you are using Vista then why are you posting in the Win95/98 forum?

No one is going to call you on your toll number and give you one on one tech support. It appeears that a moderator has deleted your second post while I was typing this. This is a FREE public forum. As such, all responses are in the forum. Look at the right side of this thread. See a list of forums there? You are using Vista but you posted this question in the Win95/98 forum. Look above your first post. Do you see the Win95/98 up there. To further clarify the issue your question is about hardware and is not really related to any operating system. You should have posted in the Hardware forum. If you had paid attention when registering for this site you would know these things. Now to try to solve your problem. The fax machine connects directly to the phone jack in the wall using the line jack. Then the phone connects to the fax machine using the phone jack on the fax machine. The computer doesn't need to be connected at all. If this is NOT just a fax machine but a multifunction machine then connection to the computer is needed in order to use the copy and print functions. If your office has digital phone lines the machine may not work. In order to help more you need to explain what fax machine you have and what you have tried so far.

To the mod that removed the OP's second post, you can edit the post as well as remove it entirely. That way the answer to my question would still remain.
