Any help will be well appreciated!

Lower the Explorer safety level to minimum for a test.Right click the Explorer icon on desktop and choose the Properties/Privacy/Slider to min.See if this helps by trying to get hotmail.com.You may work with Medium and check again if you can keep this level at all times.Good luck.

Look for a file called Hosts (and only Hosts, not Hosts.sam) in the C:\Windows directory.

Take a look at the Hosts file and see if there is a reference to the Hotmail page there.

If there is a reference, delete it, as it may be corrupted.

If no joy, try clearing the caches:

Go to Start>Shutdown, and choose: Restart the Computer in MS-DOS mode.

Type the following lines, pressing Enter after each one:

cd\
cd windows
smartdrv
deltree tempor~1
deltree history
deltree cookies

NOTE: Press Y if you are prompted to confirm any deletion

Type win (or 'exit') followed by clicking enter in order to return to Windows.

I have been fighting with a Hotmail problem for a couple of weeks. On one of my home computers I was not able to access Hotmail at all. I just kept getting "error on page." On other computers I had no problem at all. After alot of trial and error, I even rebuilt my laptop, I was able to determine it must be my wireless router(Linksys BEFW11S4). I found a post that someone mentioned upgrading the firmware...... So I did and now she works like new.

I think Hotmail must have changed something in the last month or two to cause problems because everything had worked fine. One day it just stopped working.

I hope this helps.

YME
