Yesterday, got to work, could not access the hotmail web page. Browser hung up then said, "The page cannot be displayed". Also could not access any related page ie msn.com, and anything related to hotmail or msn on the microsoft web page. All other internet services woking fine. Then when I got home, I experienced the same problem. Other friends are able to access hotmail. What's goin' on? Could a virus have done this? Any help would be much appreciated. Thanks.

All email accounts are not on the same server. There are several, and some of them might be temporarily down or too busy. I've experienced the same but it often works after an hour or two. (Makes me gutted too!)

Patience...

I too have been having this problem since 9/2 AM, and I use earthlink. I cannot access any MSN related pages. I have changed my homepage to Google, and am in the process of routing all of the sites in my Favorites folder through Google rather than IE. This seems strange to me in that the Google shortcut on my desktop was initially accessed through IE, yet it is working fine.

Sounds like Microsoft has been hit with a virus.

have similar problem - also an aol customer.

have tried using outlook, aol and internet explorer to access hotmail, all with no success..have also tried removing antivirus and firewall software - still no joy - no email yesterday or today, even in middle of night (quiet time), suggesting not just a busy server problem ...need to access my emails, what can I do?? Is this a PC problem or is there something up with hotmail server...if there's something up with the hotmail server, why isn't there any info about this on MSN's homepage - would be useful to get some communication here!!!

Found a message on aol live help (looks like they're the cause of the problem...corporate wars resulting in dirty tactics, perhaps):-

Myway.com has what I deem a far superior service: with NO spam and NO ads. I will also import addressbooks from hotmail or Yahoo. Check it out!!!

Since Sept. 25, I have tried sending friends and family with AOL addresses email from this hotmail address I have had for almost 10 years.

I began to get Mail Delivery Failure messages from the postmaster@hotmail.mail.com

At first I thought I incorrectly typed my friend's AOL address; but then there were 2, 3, 4, 10 and even 2 of my own that kept coming back as undelivered due to system failure. I called AOL and tried sending email to 2 of their techs who sadly, have zero intelligence :( but the mail kept coming back to me as well.

An AOL member can send email to hotmail, when one replies, it is returned. This has been happening since 9/25.. Today, I no longer get the postmaster's message but the emails I send to AOL are not received at all!!!!

Does anybody have this too or am I working to hard and need a long vacation??

AOL tech support says its my spam filter. HA!!!! What a joke!
