My friends's laptop has developed fixed white horizontal lines on the screen .There was one line first and now it has increased to 6.Even if he boots to DOS the 6 lines are there.The LCD screen too has dimmed and it it makes it diicult to view.Can anyone tell me whether there is a problem with the LCD screen or is it some other problem.
