Comment: Hi I was wondering if there is any way of the 2 computers in my house sharing the one connection (56K) to the internet. PLease could someone give me some tips? Do I need and more equipment etc? Thanks a lot. The comps are both Win98. Harry

Reply: (edit)It is possible for 2 comps to share the same connection. I had a Win 95 and Win ME systems using the same connection. I'm guessing the computers are not networked and if they aren't you will need 2 network cards, put these in the the machines and then go into the start menu, programs, accessories, communication and start the home network wizard. You will be asked during the set up if you want connection sharing. You will need to have the connection sharing drivers installed and this is done through control Panel add/remove programs, system setup,choose Communication and then go to details if the connection sharing box is not ticked your drivers are not installed. You can also connect your comps through the Serial or Com Ports it's not something I've done so am not able to comment on it. But you can get all the info you need from the windows help files.
