Comment:

I have a home network and cannot connect to the Internet or email with the above PC. I can connect to the network and all other PCs work fine.

One thing that I have noticed when I run winipcfg for this PC is that the "IP Routing Enabled" box is checked on this PC.

Not sure if this is the problem but I would like to change this since it is the only PC that has it checked.

Thanks

There are 2 PCs on the network both linked to a Netgear RP114 Router -

PC1= Windows ME
PC2 Win98 SE

The Router is linked to an ADSL modem supplied by the telco.

PC1 works fine in all respects (network, email,internet).

PC2 can access PC1 and a printer on PC1 on the network but cannot access email or the internet via the router. (It also cannot access email or internet using dial-up).

The problem really stared when I uninstalled Windows ME from PC2 in order to revert back to Win98.

I do not understand how or why the "IP Routing Enabled" box got checked on PC2 - I have never seen this before on PC1 or PC2 previously or any other PC that I have hooked on the network.

Thanks for any help you can provide.
