In my list of running programs there is a .exe called HKCMD. It's apparently something that Intel puts out, but I can't find any information about what it does--automatically loads on my PC. Any information appreciated.

hkcmd.exe, does anyone know what other files go with it? I have a laptop that says one of the assoicated files are missing.

I believe that is the key to why my laptop goes into sleep mode & then it doesn't come out of it...unless if I unplug the ac cord & the battery.

When I boot my Windows ME, I get error message that says (paraphrased):

HKCMD.exe has caused an error in HKCMD.exe
HKCMD.EXE will now close.

Don't know what to do or where to find new copy of HKCMD.exe. sfc.exe not used in ME, I only have sfp

Any help is MUCH appreciated!
