Does anyone know why my 48 speed Cdrom, keeps stopping and starting all the time, it take forever to install software. It runs full speed then it stops then it gets up to full speed and stops. It is really irritating me

If it is doing this with some CD's only then those CD's are not compatible to run with your CD ROM ... if it is doing this with all the CD's ... then I think you have to reinstall the driver ... or at least reduce the reading speed if you can !!!
