Hiding Columns in Excel 97 or 2000

Comment:
What is the best way to hide a column which might have formulas and hence need to be a part of the sheet. Before jumping to conclusions try copying your protected sheet and pasting into a new sheet. Now you can unhide the hidden column without a password. Any suggestions. Thanks.

There is no true way to do this. You can lock the cells but like you say it can be apsted and unlocked. Another is third party software but it is just like Excel and can be gotten around. One last suggestion would be to put it in some obscure place like Row 60000 or column UU. HTH, wcr3d

Password protect the workbook and the copy paste will not reveal the hidden columns.
