HELP.Don't know what I'm doing

Hi.For a couple of days I have been getting error loading advpack.dll everytime I try to open a couple of programs.RPG Toolkit,vb6.o runtime files.I had no such problems opening them before.I reinstalled advpack.dll-I got optout.exe for spyware-but don't understand what this dll is for and why there is such a problem with it.Any info would be appreciated.As long as I don't have to do anything at the dos prompt.I'm an idiot doing anything manually.Thanks
