I have 2 hardrives and I have linux running on one and windows on the other now I want to format the one with Linux on it but I can't access linux because the boot disk doesn't work properly and I can't format it from dos because it doesn't appear in fdisk or windows. but it still appears in the bios what do I do.

Search for a partioning program
Say like Partion Magic or maybe a free one

Download a utility called DELPART from here
http://tweakcentral.com/files.htm
It will detect all partitions and delete what you want.
It will pick up the partitions that FDISK has trouble seeing.
You have to be able to boot up to an A:\ prompt, then run Delpart from a floppy disk.
After you delete the Linux partition, you can run FDISK from the Win boot disk and make a new primary DOS partition, and then Format it.

I did the thing with Delpart but fdisk still didn't pick it up. WHAT THE?
