When I turn on the pc I get a black screen showing the computer loading all the driver files and stuff. I heard that you can put @echo off in either autoexec or config sys. Is this right. Please help

@echo off
Goes in the autoexec.bat file and will only stop you seeing the commands placed on the dos prompt.

Entering "@echo off" to the first line (make it the only thing on the line) of autoexec.bat will quiet things down
also, adding '@' to the start of any line will make it so that that specific command isn't displayed
