I had my computer custom built.(Intel Pentium III) I already have 128MB of ram and have two more expansion slots. I want to purchase two more 128MB chips to give me a total of 384MB. I know my motherboard is a TA64-B from DFI. I also know that I need 128 MEG 168 PIN DIMM SDRAM PC133. I was told to purchase chips that were made by the same manufacturer of the chip I already have. How do I find out the manufacturer of the chip I have now? I opened up the computer and looked on the chip and it had "Hyundai Korea GM72V66841ET75 0010 AG1". That doesn't seem to help. Also how do I know if my chip I have is (unbuffered or registered)? If I have an unbuffered chip already and buy a registered chip will they work together? My computer supports ECC but I don't know if the chip is ECC and if it is and I buy a non-ECC will they work together? Also, while searching I see generic memory...is this meaning that if I buy a 128 MEG 168 PIN DIMM SDRAM PC133 Generic chip, it will work with what I have now? I hope someone can give me some helpful advice. I do not want to buy two memory chips and they not work with what I have already. Thank-you for the help and have a nice day!!!
