Comment: Intel 6630, Celeron 500 MHZ, Win98SE, 56K modem, 810 Chipset, HP Pavilion 6630 I had Windows XP RC1 and the 6mos was coming to an end. I tried to remove it. as I only upgraded. Needless to say it didn't revert back to my original win 98SE and I has to reformat. I had no problem but I couldn't install the sound. When I look in the Device Manager under sound it has Crystal WDM Audio Codec. Under properties all the drivers are there. The Driver Status says"the NTKERN.vxd, MMDEVLDR.vxd device loader(s) for this device could not load the device driver. (Code 2). I did what was suggested and tried to update the driver to solve the issue. Windows asks for "Disk labeled WHQL" for PW4026.cat (this file is already on my system). It also asks for a disk labeled "Crystal AC9X WDM Driver" Disk for a file called cwawdm.sys (which is also on my system). Needless to say I don't have either disk. I would appreciate any suggestions/help. Thank you for reading.
