HELP! password violated system halted!

I was trying to kill my bios passord as per a previous posting.(98205)
someone suggested using cmospwd /k to kill my passord.
I have done that and now my system will not boot at all.
I just get the message "password violated. system halted."
it is an ACER acros p166 win 98 pc
please help, thanks

Remove the CMOS battery from your motherboard for a few seconds. You'll have to reset your BIOS settings, but you'll be able to get in.

Try to bypass or clear CMOS password
Click Here to look for jumper location and jumper setting for your MOBO diagram.
