I saved the dbx files on floppy and extracted them to the same location as my other computer and replaced them with old ones, but now when I click outlook it takes 3 minutes for it to open, I tried to reinstall it but it didn't help, anyone know the problem?

One posting is sufficient, especially when it's on the same page.

The best way to transfer the Outlook data is to download a file called "pfbackup.exe".

http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/details.aspx?FamilyID=8b081f3a-b7d0-4b16-b8af-5a6322f4fd01&displaylang=en

It will add the "backup" option into your file menu. When used creates a file called "Outlookbackup.pst"

Install "pfbackup" in both machines, allows you to restore from the file menu, simply copy and paste from the old machine to the new, then use the "backup option" to restore from backup.

Works with Outlook 2000, Xp and 2003.
