help Norton Anti Virus not working

previously i have McAfee but i don't like it so i unstall it and install Norton Anti Virus. now the Norton Anti Virus is not working and it said 'cannot find the file c:\program files\common files\symantec shared\NMain.exe (or one of its components) make sure the path and filesname are correct and that all required libraries are available.' MAY I KNOW WHAT SHOULD I DO NOW? i checked the path is correct. Thank you.

Is your installation from a CD or internet download? Have you tried uninstalling Norton and reinstalling it again to see if the new installation works?
