hello can any1 tell me how to make low level format? i am not getting shutdown message

Your question makes no sense. Need details about your system? Computer make and model? Hard drive? Operating system? What are you trying to do? Low-level formatting is not something you normally would do to wipe a hard drive.

Low level format is not done by the user on recent drives.It was used on small drives that used MFM, RLL or IDE (not EIDE) controllers.Use fdisk, format and reinstall your OS only to avoid destruction of your drive.Good luck.

Low level does not exactly mean 'low' as in only a small format. You can probably get a low level formatting utility from the HD manufacturer's site, but as other have said, it shouldn't be necessary.
