what OS are you running?
if it's Win95 OSR2 and you have an AMD K6-2 chip 350MHz or greater, go here for a possible solution:

I have the exact same exception message. It comes in randomly but frequently. I have a lot of parts around and so did a lot of swapping (memory, video card, even changed the cpu and motherboard) nothing worked. Supposedly, from what I have learned, this error should be related to memory or video. One thing that might help is to update your windows with the 2nd edition. I did so and now for whatever reason the error is less frequent. Update all the drivers on your system too, it might help. I hope one of us figures this one out soon.

I have this problem with a AMD K6-2/500 mhz. I have found that there is a problem with timing between Win98SE and this processor, and disabling external cache, works fine for me. There is also another thecnical note about changing voltage from 2.2V to 2.3V in some motherboards.
