Comment: I have an old Toshiba lap top, without cd rom, i tried to install a net card, so it cracked my old system, to fix the problem win 95 asked me to reinstall, i have the cabs, in the hard drive, but, when i tried to reinstall windows asked me about the licence, and i don`t know where is it, without that licence number, win dont let me reinstall.

Reply: (edit)if you can get into safe mode your lic/id#
can be found by doing a right click on the my computer icon and go to properties, where it shows the long # in the center of the box that has oem in it is your id #,otherwise call microsoft or your oem cause it is illegal for one of us to give you an id #,
