Please respond with legal ness only. I dont want any hacks patches or cracks.
****************************************Someone please help me on this topic. I need to know how to change my win98b disk to that i can create a self install cd?
As well as this. I would like to take my win98b upgrade cd and make it to where it wont ask for the valid os of another installation disk. Thus if i have to do this i cannot create an unattended disk. I have the disks but dont want to add them to a new win98b cd. Is there any way to get around this, or shall i just add the files to my win98b cd and then recreate the disk? I would think that there would be just a few files i could add to the cd, and then it would continue on its merry way, however im having no luck. I legally own win3.1 win95 and win98 so the disks arnt the problem its creating that pesky win98 self install disk without having to switch disks...
I appreciate all the help, I'll check back in a few hours.
Sincerely,
for security reasons the email address isnt real, so please dont email me back, im at work, and i dont want my bosses, jumping down my throat LOL... PEACE
Joe

Perhaps a little help...
On the Win98 CD there is the Tools Sampler. It contains "Batch98" under the Deployment tools.
This tool can be used to create an Unattended installation. I have used it successfully.
I do not know if you can get it to bypass the checking for the upgrade validation though.Bryan
