What a wonderful tale of woe. Gives us absolutely nothing to work with in order to help you resolve the matter.

If that's the best description of the problem you have, the solution is easily resolved in 2 words. FORMAT & RELOAD.

Hard lessons learnt are not easily forgotten.

Dear rochelle,

AVG detected a Trojan! And what it says?
OK, what is the name of Trojan?
There are many Trojan removers available in the Net. Symantec had many Virus removal tools. www.symantec.com and click on virus removal tools.
Also search for "name" removal tools.

If you haven't got it already download freebie "Ad-Aware". You could also try this free Trojan finder/fixer:

If you boot to safe mode, run adaware and do a 'full system scan' you should be able to find most of it.
