Help! I can't install my CD-RW software.

I just got an internal IDE Hewlett-Packard 9150i CD-RW drive. When I attempted to install the drive, I put in my installation disk and followed the instructions for replacing my CD-ROM drive. I replaced my CD-ROM drive with the CD-RW drive, rebooted and put the installation disk back in. Then it gave me this error:
_INS576 caused an invalid page fault in module CDTEST.DLL at 01791a19
Then it told me that it couldn’t load CDTEST.DLL and aborted setup. Now the cd won't autorun and all my attempts to fix it have failed. My computer has a 233 processor with 64 MB of Ram, and my OS is Windows 98. Does anyone know how to fix it?

Did you remove the cdrom drive from the Device manager before replacing it? If not I would go to the device manager, remove all the CDrom stuff and reboot. Then try re-installing the CD R/w drivers.

Depending on your computer setup, if you have 1 physhical hard drive and 1 cd drive....make sure your cd drive is set to primary slave.
