Subject: help: how to download quickly files saved on i-drive
Comment:

Please help: how to download quickly (to my hard drive on my computer) files saved on i_drive (always too slow: less than 500 bytes/sec), Windows 9x or NT4 or Windows 2000.
Thanks,
whoo

1) Go on the folder/account/server where your files are.
2) Click on the "Info" link of the file you have to download.
3) Click on the "Rename" button appeared on the right.
4) Add a ".mp3" to the name of the file.
5) Click on the "Rename" button.
6) Repeat step 2 -> 5 for each files you want download.
7) Tick those files.
8) Click on the "Download" link at the top (or the bottom) of the page.
9) Right-click the "Play" link under the file you want.
10) Select "Save target as".
11) In the "Save as" window, a filename like "cfv97qh1.m3u" is proposed. =
Change the "m3u" extension by "txt".
12) Click on the "Save" button.
13) Repeat step 9 -> 12 for each files you want download. Remember, only =
150mb/account.
14) Go on the folder where you saved the "txt" file.
15) Open the "txt" file. you will see an url!
16) Copy the url, without the last character (it's like a black =
rectangle).
17) Past it on the "address" space of your explorer.
18) You can see the filename at the end, so copy it.
19) Press "Enter" on your keyboard.
20) The "Save as" window appears! But the filename proposed is (always) =
"song.mp3". Delete it and past the filename.
21) Click on the "Save" button.
22) Repeat step 15 -> 21 for each files you want download.
23) When a files is successfuly downloaded, you have to delete the =
".mp3" in the filename. If you can see it, delete it, and it's finish =
for you.
24) If you don't see the ".mp3", go on the "folder option" of @#%$.
25) Choose the "Display" part at the top.
26) Search for "Hide the file extension" or something like that.
27) untick it.
28) Click on "Ok".
29) Now you can see the ".mp3", so delete it. Ouf, it's finish for you =
too! ;)
All my stuff is in french, so some option can be not exactly like I =
wrote... I noticed a speed limitation of 16kBps by file: I-Drive put the =
exact bandwith needed to listen a mp3 file with a bitrate of 128kbps!!! =
:) but it's nothing, if your bandwith is 64kBps, just take 4 files at =
the same time. If your bandwith is 128kBps, just take 8 files at the =
same time. Etc.....

If Windows Media Player opens when you enter the link into Internet Explorer, open Media Player and dissasociate the .mp3 from file formats. Or you could load the URL from the .txt file to a download manager such as Mass Downloader 2.0.
Enjoy.
