i have been all over the net to get help. at msn they said to run the following commands:
Rundll.exe and Rundll32.exe or control.exe mycontrol.cpl
This starts the first control panel applet in Mycontrol.cpl. If you have multiple Control Panel applets in Mycontrol.cpl, you need to add to the following line exactly as shown: Control.exe mycontrol.cpl,@1. where so i execute these commands? here is the error report that started my nightmare: Java.lang.UnsatisfiedLinkError: C:\Program Files\Java\j2re1.4.2\bin\net.dll: One of the library files needed to run this application cannot be found. i know i need a newer system but cannot afford it at this time due to illness. I would really really appriciate any assistance given,
Thank You Truly a Dunb Old Lady who loves the internet games.

What is the problem you are actually having? If you post that I'm sure someone here can help you figure out what you need to do.

Just to answer your question:
What they are saying to do is, run this command control.exe mycontrol.cpl
from start / run , you type that in and click OK,Then they say,if you have multiple control applets add the second command to the line as well: Control.exe mycontrol.cpl,@1 but include the first one with it.
The commands are executed from start / run "copy & paste them in"
__________But, Like Terri asked, what is this for?
Maybe we can help you better with that. It seems like your trying to launch your control panel or windows in it with a command.:)

Looks as if the problem started with:
"...here is the error report that started my nightmare: Java.lang.UnsatisfiedLinkError: C:\Program Files\Java\j2re1.4.2\bin\net.dll: One of the library files needed to run this application cannot be found."
Could the Java Virtual Machine currently installed be an older version which does not support a Java applet's code?
Upgrading the Java Virtual Machine to the newest available versions may be an option to solve the problem.
