I have 2 problems: 1. There is no sound. 2. The picture/movie looks bad (before a month its all looks fine). The WMP tries to download codec and prints that: "A decompressor was downloaded for this file, but it didn't work. You may need to restart your player or browser. (Error=80040200) ". I tried what some people wrote here but no success. Microsoft site (http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=kb;en-us;q231325) tells that is a Quicktime conflict. I reinstall both programs and the newest DivX but still... Is version 7.1 good? no bugs?

Its a microsoft product, its loaded with bugs, plenty of fixes out for WMP
Try Zoom Player its quite good, alot smaller and faster then WMP
What kinda file are you trying to open? DIVX? Theres heaps of codecs out there apart from divx, and sometimes you've gotta try em all till you find one that works

Hey guys. See the little speaker icon down on the right hand side of your task bar? Double click it and when it comes up click options/advanced/properties and check the box for microphone. Close it and then play your CD.
