I have found that when I do a LOT of surfing, that I need to delete the Cookies as well as the temp files in the Setting / control panel / Internet options. I do this each day and then You MUST restart the computer for it to take effect. Most people forget about that little thing.
Good Luck.

Oleg, In order to view any file on your browser, including this webpage, it must be downloaded to your hard drive first. These downloads are stored within your Temporary Internet Files folder (TIF).

As a convenience, these files, by default, will remain on your hard drive so the next time you want to view them they will not need to be downloaded again. They will already be there.

I am on a cable connection and choose not to store the TIF files on my hard drive. I went into IE's Tools, Internet Options, Advanced, under the Security section I placed a check in the box next to "Empty Temporary Internet Files folder when browser is closed", Clicked Apply and Ok.

This setting will not keep files from being downloaded when you browse but it will get rid of them after you are done browsing so, although it will still utilize your hard drive space while browsing, it will not take up this space after you are done.

So what relationship do you believe exists between your web browsing and diminishing hard drive space? If you delete temporary Internet files, there shouldn't be any cummulative loss of drive space due to browsing.
