Reply: (edit)I am having difficulties understanding this post and I wonder if this is the reason nobody else has responded. Can you get someone to help with the English please and post it again? I do understand how difficult it is to convey technical information if English is not your native language. If you are having problems with W98 this is a bad time to then install XP. It is best to solve the problems first. I am unclear whether you have W98 or XP on it right now, or whether you reformatted when installing XP. We need to know what file it is reporting as missing.
