NEED HELP, MY HARD DRIVE WON'T BOOT, I'VE TRIED 3 DIFFERENT HARD DRIVES. I'VE PARTITIONED AND FORMATTED 1, THE OTHERS WERE ALREADY BOOTABLE. I GET AN ERROR ON ONE, IT SAYS ,,,,BOOT >
THE OTHER TWO JUST HANGS AT "STARTING WINDOWS" NOW, I CAN BOOT FROM A FLOPPY AND ACCESS THE DRIVE, BIOS SAYS THE DRIVE IS THERE, JUST CAN'T BOOT FROM IT.

try formats instead of format. gets rid of the ez-bois that screws everything up. s stands for system.

eliminate some variables.

if you have 2 hard drives installed, remove one and try booting up with just 1 hard drive installed - then switch drives and repeat.

This is a great place to post stuff, im very glad i found it since no other places has information even coming close to what my problem is.

Ok: I installed a 40GB in my neighbors comp, mb wont even detect it as a hd. So i installed ez-bios and it found it. Now when i boot to windows 98, on the small 1.2GB as the master, holding windows 98, it hangs....when i disable ez-bios it hangs before it gets into windows. Strange..since this is from a completely raw install. Can i get some help? (I dont want to format anything on the master drive since i already gave his computer back), is this fixable, or even heard of!? If so, PLEASE email me since i probably wont come back here, i tend to forget...

Thanks!
