Hard drive letter designation

I just installed a hard drive slaved to my primary IDE. The bios detected it but I can't find in in WIN 95/ My Computer nor can I assign it a drive letter. It is in the Device manager but I can't access the drive.

HI if you have problems in the hard drive area try adding the line to the dos command in config.sys/Autoexec.bat (type "help" at the C prompt for more details.)
"Lastdrive=x" at least two letters past the drives on the PC this enables the system to look for other drives it may change the cd rom letter or zip drives if they are fitted good luck
