I RECIENTLY INSTALLED A SECOND HARD DRIVE INTO MY WINDOWS 95 RUN PENTIUM SYSTEM. WINDOWS WILL ONLY RECOGNIZE 1.3 GB OF THE 4.3 GB AVAILIBLE. HOW DI I FIX IT? I CANT EVEN FIND A WAY TO PARTITION IT.

I quote the insightful Techs Dude,"Howdy, Run FDISK and select choice 1 for create partitions, then select choice #2 for create extended partitions. Just follow the prompts after than and agree to whatever it tells you to agree with. Once all that is done restart the computer and format the partiton which will be D: your cd-rom drive lettter will change to E: you have no control over the new partiton going to D: so if you have software that runs off of the cd-rom you most likely will have to reinstall that software since it will look at the D: drive as the cd-rom which it no longer will be. If you have any more questions in regards to this just e-mail me.

I installed a second hard drive (Win95)went through the BIOS setup, fdisk and format procedures with no problems. However, when I rebooted the secondary(slave)hard drive does not show up (icon) in the control panel. The jumpers are set according to the manufactor. I can only see "C" drive and the cd-drive is still listed as "D". Help?

My problem is that i can not get into my cmos setting after changing my hard drive. I would like to remove the compaq logo and install windows 2000. While booting from disk tried different key stroke to get to no avail. Please help!!!
thank you
Roy
