Im running win 98se on a 450mhz 128mb and it seems every once and a while ususally when im donwloading or ripping a dvd, my hard drive will make a click. Its only about 2 months old. Its 60 gigabytes, 7200rpm , ata 100(but i have running on regular ide) and made by Western Digital. Is this clicking normal? I thought maybe it was just switching platters and thats why it clicked. Also, this didnt happen right off the bat. I didnt start happening until i started filling up my drive.

Any extra noise from a HD is not good. If your BIOS supports it, enable Smart. Smart will monitor HD and alert you to any problems.
