Have CPQ Deskpro 2000 MMX Windows 98 with latest bios update. Tried with clearing Cmos and also tried another hard disk and IDE cable. After a while working fine, the PC hangs. In most cases when adressing to CD-rom. But I also have the same problem without a cd rom installed.
Can somebody help me please ? Thank you

I had similar probs with a hd on an atx computer with msi mmx motherboard and found that the pio mode if set too high made the hd a little unstable - some info about pio modes at http://www.pcguide.com/ref/hdd/if/ide/modes_PIO.htm. Hope this helps
