I have windows 98 and am running a program called Zone Alarm which I have been using for about 2 years. Periodically zone alarm pops up a window asking me if I want rundll.32.exe or Microsoft Qmgr to access the internet. I reply "no" since I don't have a clue what either of them are. Saying "no" does not seem to cause problems or interfere with whatever I am doing, but I am wondering if someone can explain whether someone trying to hack my computer when that happens or if it is a normal request from my computer and should I be saying "yes"?

It is normal microsoft request operation. It is not a hacker! If you select to never allow, instead of deny access now, you will never see it again. I have allowed it, and not allowed allowed on each of my computers, so far no problems on either computer. I could Take care!

Dunno, but I would keep saying "no". You said it yourself, nothing goes awry if you prevent them accessing the net.
Since your computer seems to be initiating these it would be worth running your virus checker with the latest updates.
There is also Ad-Aware that can find some culprits.
It could even be a Trojan so you may care to download a program called SwatIt (free). Warning - it takes ages to complete its run so chose the right time.
My guess is that it is none of these but just one of those inexplicable gliches that we all have to bear, but its worth making absolutely sure....
