Recently I had big problems with GDI.exe but after removing my screensaver and some desktopicons everything was OK... Now Iīm experiencing the same problem although I havenīt installed anything (screensaver is still gone). What shall I do now? What is wrong?

Micke, I am also getting the same error. Have you found the answer? However mine goes even further. After not being able to clear this in win98, I fdisk'ed, reformatted, and tried to install win98. Only to recieve this same error. Reformatting again I tried to install win95 to no avail. Changing the graphics card did no good. Changing the card to an empty PCI buss did no good. The exact error is as follows"SUWIN caused a general protection fault in module GDI.exe at 0001:3573". I do not believe this is a operating system, software problem, will soon try some different RAM. Please let me know what you find, I will do as well, if I ever get this most frustrating thing cleared. thank you, Lee Moore

Lee Moore, Hey Bud! You know, I am haveing the same problem. I reformated my hard drive and went to reinstall Win95 and I keep getting 'SUWIN.exe casued a GPF in GDI.Exe'. Any Luck resolving this issue?

problems with gdi.exe, anyone know why photoshop 5.5 should cause errors with gdi.exe????? Is Win98se a gift from hell, to cause more stress if you dont have enough? Any ideas?
