If there were I wouldn't use it
even with windows xp and some of these other apps that can do this I wonder how secure they are.
You know when microsoft needs security patches for IE and other apps how in the heck can the guarantee security on a program of this type?

Netmeeting, which comes with the Windows os, allows remote access similar to gotomypc. But as the Gorx says there may be security issues with it. But I find it meets my personal needs.

To first set up net meeting, go to start, run and type conf.exe. If you're running net meeting for the first time, it'll take you through some set up steps. After you've done that, open netmeeting, then go to tools, remote desktop sharing, then go through the wizard. Then from a remote computer with net meeting, you should be able to access the first computer.
If you have win98, check what version of netmeeting you have. If you don't have it already, you should download ver. 3.01 from the microsoft site.
