Ok folks. Here we go. I have a p3 500 intel clone. 13.5 gig HD, DVD & CD ROM. The computer works just fine...UNTIL I install GoBack. Then the computer will boot about 50% of the time. I have to go to the safe mode, then restart before I can get back to my normal screen. When in safe more, I get the MS-DOS Compatable message on both my C and A drives. However, when I am in the normal mode, I have no conflicts with ANY drivers, device or otherwise. All seems well..UNTIL I try to boot up, then maybe it will work, maybe not. It all depends on GoBack. They say that if the issue is with a MS-DOS compatability problem, they cannot help. Yes, I disabled and deleted it and reinstalled Goback 3 times. No changes. I have reinstalled all drivers, ran mucho checks and yet, no help. The only thing that I do see is the following message: Windows encountered a problem while attempting to start your TCP/IP. Network\mstcp\0001. Apart from that all works..UNTIL..well, you get the message. If any of you fine folks can help, i would appreciate it big time!

Thanks,
Harley

Hello Fred, Thanks for the reply. Unfortunately there is no NOIDE or BAD_IDE in the registry to delete.
